Welcome to our Club
Woodford Archers is based in Woodford Green, Essex. It was started back in 1951 and things have changed a lot since then! Today we are still a thriving club whose goal is to introduce as many people as possible to archery, and make it an enjoyable and fun sport.
The club is affiliated to our national governing body Archery GB (formerly Grand National Archery Society – GNAS) and through them our international body – World Archery (WA).
We are also registered with Essex and Suffolk County Archery Association for promoting archery in Essex and Suffolk for whom we run an annual clout shoot in the spring.
Club Nights
The club shoots on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday evenings, 7:30 until 9:30. Beginners have priority on Tuesday evenings alongside regular shooting.
Indoor facilities
- Heated, all year, 15 Yard shooting range
- Kitchen
- Male and female toilet and changing room
- Equipment preparation area
Outdoor facilities
- Extensive onsite parking.
- Tree lined 400m x 500m well kept field for clout and open air shooting.
- Wonderful views of the surrounding countryside and the River Roding.
Shoots
We are open year-round indoors, and outdoors in the warmer months, light and weather permitting. We shoot a number of disciplines including Target, Clout and Field archery as well as less formal games like Archery Darts, Archery Golf and Roving.
Shoots often take place on weekends especially through the summer months. In addition Frostbite shoots sometimes take place in late winter/spring.
We also run a fun shoot on the last Tuesday of very month where we also give out prizes for various achievements during the month.
